Out and About… Melbourn Family Fun Day! 
After a five-year break, Melbourn Fete Committee are relaunching with a Family Fun Day to kickstart summer, and raise funds and awareness for local groups and charities.
So, what’s on? Expect all the fun of a family fete, with activities such as inflatables, children’s entertainers, science projects, live music, petting ponies, model train rides, soft archery, classic cars and motor vehicles, and of course, the legendary Egg Catching Competition.
There’ll also be a selection of local food and drink vans, as well as the ever-popular Home-Start café from the pavilion, where they will also be selling raffle tickets to win a hamper. All stalls are providing delicious fare with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options available.
There will also be a huge variety of stalls showcasing local businesses and community groups. We’ve even got space for a few more, so do get in touch if you’d like to get involved.
Budding artists can enter the Junior Art Exhibition (5 – 16-year-olds) in the Pavilion, and there will be a prize for the best artwork on the theme of ‘Having Fun’.
