Happy June! This month sees one of the biggest events of the Museum’s calendar: Green Festival 2026.
Organised in partnership with Royston Environmental Group, we’re being joined by a host of groups and organisations. Discover practical ways to live greener, enjoy hands-on activities for all ages, and explore stalls packed with ideas for a more sustainable future. The Festival is on Saturday 13th June, 10.30am to 3.30pm, and is free to enjoy.
Richard Croft: Life and Designs, our latest exhibition is open during our normal opening hours until Sunday 12th July. Discover the life and stunning costume designs of Richard Croft, an extraordinary costume designer who worked on shows including as Dr Who and Blackadder.
Join Dr Ray Munden for our June talk on Kazakhstan – the Largest Country You Know Nothing About. Not only will you find out about this fascinating country and its wildlife, but by purchasing a ticket you’ll be supporting both the Museum and the Friends of Therfield Heath.
Our upcoming events include:
• Museum Tots – Construction: Wednesday 3rd June
• Music at the Museum from Smith and Brewer: Friday 5th June
• Spark! Art Club: Thursday 11th June
• Green Festival 2026: Saturday 13th June
• Talk – Kazakhstan – the Largest Country You Know Nothing About: Wednesday 17th June
Finally, we’re looking for local young people to take part in this year’s Young Artist Open Exhibition on “Community”. Visit our website to find out how to take part. Submissions close on Tuesday 30th June.
