Community News: Growing Together – Tesco Community Garden

It was a pleasure to meet Carol Stanier at the Tesco Community Garden.
Open on the second Saturday of every month, the team have done a fantastic job growing artichokes, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, gooseberries and rhubarb!
It was also lovely to meet Robin and Matthew, who were busy digging over one of the four raised beds ready to plant it up with wildflowers.
Robin had even created a wildlife pond as part of his for The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, what a brilliant way to support local wildlife!
The team really enjoy connecting with nature and have already seen many different varieties of butterflies, birds and bees in the garden.
It’s fantastic to see Royston Community Together in action, creating spaces where people, nature and our community can thrive.
Tesco Royston Community Garden is a resource for all the community, run by Tesco and Royston Environmental Group.
If you’d like to get involved as a volunteer and help look after this wonderful community space, please contact Carol at chairman@roystonenvironmentalgroup.org.uk
