Lights of Life is a week-long event held at Garden House Hospice Care in Letchworth. This years’ service will take place on Sunday 29th November from 5pm and be hosted by the Hospice’s Inpatient Unit Manager, Rebecca Windle.
There will also be readings from staff and family members, and performances from singer-songwriter Roxy Searle and a local choir.
The Hospice’s garden will also be open for more intimate visits from Wednesday 2nd to Sunday 6th December. These are available in 15-minute slots between 5pm and 7pm. Both the service and garden visits are free to attend but must be pre-booked.
Garden House Hospice Care has an overall fundraising target of £2.7 million this year – Lights of Life is expected to bring in approximately £40,000 toward this total. Lights can be dedicated for a minimum donation of £10 each, and the names of the people the lights are dedicated to will be printed on display boards in each area for the duration of Lights of Life and listed on a special dedication page on Garden House’s website.
