The community came out in great numbers for the Fire Station Open Day, with visitors enjoying the chance to meet the crew, explore the fire engines, police car, and soak up the wonderful atmosphere.
There was plenty to see and do, including various stalls, a fantastic face painter, refreshments and some truly amazing cakes from Chloe May’s Bakes.
The stars of the show were certainly Loki, the Fire Investigation Dog, and Keith, the Wellbeing Dog, who were a huge hit with visitors!
A special shoutout also goes to Marty, aged 3½, who arrived in his very own fireman’s uniform , absolutely adorable!
It was a wonderful event, bringing people together and showcasing the amazing work of our emergency services. A huge thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the day such a success. Community really does matter!
