July was a busy month for us welcoming a range of students on work experience to the Museum.
Rhian led our Year 10 students from King James Academy and Melbourn Village Collage on a range of different projects, from planning and proposals through to completion. As part of the week, the students brought Roy from our Playmakers! poster to life ready for the summer holidays. Sophie then trained our Year 12 students from Hitchin Girls School in object handling and cataloguing, before leading them on a project exploring the embroidered WW1 cards in our collection.
We’ve also been busy gearing up for a busy summer holiday of activities! Come and step into a world of fun and imagination at Playmakers! Enjoy hands-on activities and crafts throughout the Museum, from Thursday 30th July to Sunday 30th August, Thursdays to Sundays, 10am to 4pm. There’ll be new activities every week, so you can make the most of our holiday pass throughout the summer.
