News from Royston Market – December

There will be plenty of festive cheer on Royston Market throughout December and shoppers will be spoilt for choice when it comes to great produce and ideas for Xmas gifts.

Orders are now being taken by the butcher for turkeys and any other meat accompaniments while the exceptional fruit and veg stall will also be taking orders for the big day.

Look out for pitches selling an enormous range of cheese, and charcuterie, chilli oils, olives and nuts and home-made Xmas cakes and puddings.

There will be traders selling toys and an array of craft stalls offering a variety of gift ideas including beautiful handmade Xmas decorations and options for stocking fillers. Xmas trees and beautiful wreathes are available from the beginning of the month.

For those looking for something to eat while they take a break from shopping, there is a ‘pop up’ cafe on the market offering all day breakfasts and brunch and street-food including Chinese and pizzas.

On the 16th December, there will also be a FREE raffle open to all shoppers with beautiful hampers of produce provided as prizes by the traders. The prize draw will be made by the Mayor at midday.

Free cakes and mulled wine will be given away with each entry into the raffle while a local choir will help get everyone into the Christmas spirit.
