Give someone 20 minutes to talk about their life and you never know what you might discover! This month, interior design blind, curtains & soft furnishing expert Linda Turner gives us an insight into her life.
Where do you live?
I have lived in Litlington 10 years this year.
What’s your favourite local place to eat?
Palazzo, and I’m hoping it re-opens soon.
Your favourite Local Shop?
Cream, I always get a stunning outfit from Cream and the staff are jolly and helpful. They know when I buy something from them I always add my twist and bling to it.
What is your guilty pleasure?
Food… not that I’m a good cook but I love all food. I’m a savoury person, so olives, I cannot get enough of them..
What was the last film you watched?
The Theory of Everything about Stephen Hawking, such brilliant acting.
What makes you happy?
Life in general makes me happy. I love being around my family and my friends. I’m happy when I know my girls are safe and doing well in life.
What annoys you?
There are so many idiots around who do not give a damn and have no thoughts about others – they just don’t care…
What is your favourite book?
“The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne a great interesting read and powerful.
What do you love about your work?
Where do I start!? From the minute I go to my workshop and start work, out travelling to visit my customers… I’m so lucky to have a business that I have enjoyed building to where it is now. There’s never a day that I do not enjoy what I do! I love being creative in the field of interiors and to share my passion with customers.
What is your most valued possession?
My MG! I have owned her for 35 years, if ever I am sad or stressed I put the key into the ignition and the hair on the back of my neck goes up… the thrill ride ahead clears the cobwebs away and I feel so much better. The car is here to stay how ever old she gets, so my MG and me, we will get old together!
What is your greatest fear?
Well, getting too old to do the things I enjoy in life. I love the great outdoors and my animals and seeing as much of the countryside here in England as I can.
What are you most looking forward to this month?
I look forward to the year unfolding, with the seasons changing (although we do get a mixed bag of weather, different now to when I was a child). I am one of those people who love cold, hot, rain and snow… so really summing me up as a person, every day is a new day! Enjoy.
