Late last year, we brought you news of Jamie’s Quest, a campaign from a local family who were urgently appealing for help to save their young son, Jamie Covington, who is battling a rare form of childhood cancer.
Thanks to the continued kindness, generosity, love and support that the community have shown towards Jamie, he is currently undergoing immunotherapy and pre-treatment to bolster his immune system, alongside chemotherapy treatment in Germany.
As they are now in the field of private healthcare overseas, his ongoing treatment comes with exceptionally high costs with the money raised being spent at a much faster rate than they could ever have imagined. Team Jamie’s Quest is already rallying around organising events to help raise more funds, or a donation can be made via GoFundMe so that his treatment may continue.
