A local family is urgently appealing for help to save their young son, Jamie Covington, who is battling a rare form of childhood cancer.
Jamie, aged 12, was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma in May 2023. After enduring months of intense chemotherapy and radiotherapy, his treatment initially worked. However, six months later, the family received the heartbreaking news that the cancer had returned.
Now, Jamie’s only hope is a life-saving immunotherapy vaccine trial available in Germany, which the NHS cannot fund. The family aims to raise £300,000 to cover the costs through their campaign, Jamie’s Quest.
Every donation brings Jamie closer to the treatment he urgently needs.
