Local people are being invited to a barn dance in aid of Citizens Advice North Hertfordshire (CANH), featuring live music, a raffle and a well-stocked bar.
The event will take place on Saturday 14th November 2026 at Knights Templar School Hall, Baldock, with live music from the Abella Barn Dance Band and caller Andrew King. Doors open at 7pm.
Whether you are an experienced dancer or a complete beginner, everyone is welcome. All dances will be explained and called on the night, making it easy for anyone to join in and have fun. Guests are also welcome to bring their own snacks.
Money raised will support CANH, the local charity providing free, confidential and independent advice to residents across North Hertfordshire and South Cambridgeshire. The charity helps people with issues such as benefits, debt, housing, family matters and the rising cost of living, offering practical support to help people understand their options and move forward.
As demand for advice continues to increase, fundraising events such as this help ensure CANH can continue offering its services free at the point of use for those who need them most.
Throughout the evening, the Abella Barn Dance Band will keep dancers on their feet while Andrew King guides each set. Between dances, guests can enjoy the raffle and refreshments from the bar, which will serve wines, beers, spirits and soft drinks.
