Book Sleuths in a Bind: A Very Puzzling Case at Royston Library
A brand-new theatre show for families is coming to Royston Library this October half term.
The Book Sleuths, Sam and Ally, have a real mystery on their hands, and need the audience’s help to crack codes, unravel riddles and pore over puzzles! Only by working together can the ‘mysterious mystery’ be solved. Designed for families of all kinds with children aged 7 to 11, this show is being created exclusively for Hertfordshire Libraries by local professional theatre company Teasel Productions, funded by Arts Council England.
Book Sleuths in a Bind: A Very Puzzling Case will be at Royston Library on Wednesday 27th October at 2.00pm.
Tickets are £7 for adults and £5 for children, and are available now from Royston Library and online: https://bit.ly/HertsLibBookSleuthTour (where you can find further details and the full tour schedule).
This is just one of a whole host of events at Royston Library.
On Thursday 7th October at 7pm, we are hosting a Libraries Week Quiz.
Test your general knowledge in a fun atmosphere to win prizes. Tables of up to 4. Tickets are £5 per person. Bring your own refreshments.
Also during Libraries Week we are holding a Soft Toy Sleepover
where children can wear their pyjamas, listen to a few lovely stories and leave their toys for an overnight stay at the library. Collect them the next morning and find out what they’ve been up to! This takes place on Friday 8th October at 4.45pm.
On Thursday 21st October after school Get Online Week brings an exciting family event to the library. Bring along a grandparent and learn together how to programme a mini drone to complete a task.
We will be holding 6 weeks of special Booktrust Storytimes on Fridays from 8th October until 12th December at 2.00pm.
Come along and get involved in a different story each week with families deciding which is their favourite book.
