Royston Library: May Update…

Throughout May Hertfordshire Libraries and Archives and Local Studies will be celebrating Explore Your Local History Month with a series of activities and events for both children and adults.

At Royston Library on Tuesday 12th May at “Marvellous Maps” there will be a selection of old and new local maps available with staff on hand to assist. The free drop-in runs from 10.30am-12noon. Donations are welcomed.

On the evening of Thursday 14th May, Hertfordshire Archives staff return with their popular talk, “Notorious Witches of Hertfordshire”. The evening starts at 7pm, tickets are £7 and available to book online at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk

For our younger customers, in addition to our Saturday LEGO session on 9th May at 2pm, we have a historically themed Holiday LEGO Club on Tuesday 26th at 10.30am. All sessions are £4.40 and early booking at the library is advised.

Watch out for pop-ups from the Royston Museum and The Cave (details still to be finalised).

Join the library: Royston Library welcomes members of all ages, from babies to those over 100. Membership is free and includes access to BorrowBox for e-books and audiobooks, as well as two hours of free daily computer use.

Full details of activities are available in the What’s On guide and on Royston Library’s Facebook page.
