The Melbourn Village Fete returns on Saturday 13th June 2026, celebrating its 30th event with an afternoon of entertainment, community spirit and fun for ages. Taking place at The Moor, Melbourn (SG8 6ED) from 12 noon to 5pm, with free entry and parking, you can enjoy a summer’s day with family and friends. The Fete will be opened at 12:45pm by South Cambridgeshire MP Pippa Heylings.
This year’s Arena programme promises excitement, featuring multi-award-winning stunt rider Dangerous Steve, comedy magician JezO, the ever-popular Dino Derby, a Classic Car Parade, and the return of the Dog Show. Visitors can also enjoy live music throughout the day from The C90s, Paint Job, Ellie Walker and Black Horse Down.
There will be a range of food and drink, including pizzas, fish and chips, kebabs, churros, ice cream, coffee, cakes and a licensed bar, ensuring there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Families are well catered for, with subsidised rides priced at £1–£2, alongside bouncy castles, bumper cars, a ride-on steam train, children’s entertainment, face painting and an outdoor escape room. Visitors can also browse artisan stalls, support community groups, and take part in competitions including the Photo Competition, Victoria Sponge Baking Competition and children’s Kite Decorating Competition.
The Fete Raffle, with a top prize of £100, will take place the afternoon, with prize and competition winners announced at 4pm.
