Out & About: Now we are Ten!

The Listing has now been delivered free to your door for a full ten years!

1st CoverTen years ago the aim was to provide Royston with a publication that has the needs of the community at heart and highlights the very best of what the town offers. Today that aim is as important to us as ever and every year we are delighted to be able to publicise more and more interesting and diverse initiatives.

Our very first issue featured an image of a child playing a drum taken by Cath when she visited one of Linda Bance’s “Music with Mums” groups. , We featured “Music with Mum” in our very first issue, and you can read more about the organisation today on the page opposite.

Initially the magazine was black and white but within six months we moved to full colour and this month’s cover features that very first cover image moving to full colour to represent our journey.

The Villages edition was first published in January 2007 to offer the same community based ethos to the villages in the SG8 postcode.

Of course, during the ten years much has changed and The Listing team now offers customers and the community much more than a monthly magazine. Our website is a mine of information on Royston and the surrounding area including our popular online directory and What’s On calendar.

The world of marketing communications has also changed over the past ten years with new and innovative marketing channels opening up. And yet, the fundamentals of marketing haven’t changed – delivering a targeted, consistent, clear message to your audience remains the foundation of success.

It is our privilege to be able to advise businesses in our local area and share the experience and knowledge we have gained over the ten years. We aim to keep our services affordable and offer great value for money.

Did you know that we offer leaflet delivery, printing solutions, advert, logo, brochure and leaflet design, business cards, banners and other branded items?

We can also support your business by managing your social media and even help you develop your website!

This Autumn we will make the move to our own premises in the heart of Royston town centre. Look out for more news of our move next month. The whole team is excited to be beginning the next chapter!

We have worked with well over 2000 businesses, organisations and events over the past ten years, and nothing gives us greater pleasure than to see our community grow and flourish.

Businesses still going strong which featured in our very first issues include Brownie Points, Slimming World, Royston & District Chamber of Commerce, The Old Bull Inn, Newlings of Royston, Royston Complementary Health Centre, WH Brown, Stephanie Prior School of Dancing, Linda Turner Interiors, DP Plastering, Royston Cave Shop, Marriage Photography, The Pin Cushion, Look Smart and Herts, Essex & Cambs Cleaning.

Business that share our ten-year tin anniversary include Royston Leisure Centre, Papillon Playgroup, Royston Tandoori and Look Smart.

Congratulations!
