Out & About – Easter Holiday Activities

This Easter, we have pulled together some of our favourite Easter events to keep your little ones entertained over the holidays, from Royston and the wider area.

Jurassic Arcade
Head to the Grand Arcade, Cambridge, to discover full-size dinosaurs in this Free Jurassic Trail. Each statue will be accompanied by specialist, educational information created in collaboration with the dinosaur experts at the Sedgwick Museum of Earth Sciences, University of Cambridge. There’s a competition to imagine and design a Cam-saurus and an interactive Dinoshow (tickets required)

Easter Bunny Trail
Find the ten Bunnies hiding in the Royston Town Centre shop windows for a chance to win a prize. Organised by Royston First.

Wimpole Easter Egg Hunt
Make your way along the trail and find activities for the whole family. Prices are £3.50 per trail, including an Easter trail sheet, bunny ears and dairy, or vegan and Free From chocolate eggs. Normal admission charges apply.

Lego at the Museum!
Enjoy all the fun of building with LEGO – without the tidy up! Royston Museum invites families to get creative this Easter with a huge collection of bricks ready for making, creating and playing. A perfect way to relax and let imaginations run wild in between Easter egg hunts! Drop-in session, no booking. Pay what you can.

Annual Easter Egg Hunt
Search for coloured stones to return for a chocolate egg (or alternative) prize. Entrance £1 per ticket (=1 stone, 1 prize. Buying multiple tickets is allowed!) No pre-booking, just turn up. Suitable for all ages, organised by Friends of Therfield Heath.
Meet at Heath Cafe car park, Baldock Road, Royston SG8 5BG, where you will see signs to the starting point.

Fox’s Forgotten Words Trail
Join Flora the Fox on a quest through the Botanic Garden to track down the lost words this Easter. Pick up a free trail map at the ticket office to start your adventure. Find all the missing words and claim a special Easter prize! Suitable for 3+ Free for children.

The Great Easter Flint Hunt
For something completely different, enjoy the first-ever ‘Great Easter Flint Hunt’ at Henry Moore Studios & Gardens. Swap the usual chocolate hunt for an adventure inspired by Henry Moore himself. Drop in event, entry is included in an annual ticket.
