The talented young artists taking part in The Art Room’s schools art competition have been celebrated, with winners chosen by a panel of judges made up of Gallery Owner Nick Penn, professional gallery artist Hannah Lipsey and Art Room tutor Chloe.
The competition showcased the creativity and artistic talent of local school pupils, with the standard of entries making the judging a difficult task.
As part of the competition, The Art Room & Nick Penn Fine Art Gallery donated a fantastic £1,500 to participating schools, while the class of each winning student will also receive a special Art Room workshop.
Studlands has already enjoyed its workshop, with pupils getting creative and making colourful hot air balloons.
Each of the competition winners also received an art-themed prize package, including a sketchbook, oil pastels and a free class at The Art Room, giving them the opportunity to continue developing their artistic skills.
The winners artwork is also currently exhibited in the gallery too for public viewing.
With such a fantastic response from local schools and some incredibly talented young artists taking part, The Art Room is helping to encourage creativity and give children the chance to explore their artistic talents.
