From Monday, 14th April to Friday, 18th April, the Picnic Barn will be transformed into a chocolate lover’s paradise, hosting a series of Easter Chocolate-Making Workshops. Under the expert guidance of Dawn Fry from The Melting Pot, attendees will learn the delicate art of chocolate-making, all while indulging in Belgium’s finest milk chocolate.
During this hour-long workshop, participants will craft their own Easter-themed lollipop using piping bags and chocolate tanks brimming with silky-smooth, high-quality chocolate. The session doesn’t stop there – you’ll also enjoy a chocolate talk and tasting, exploring everything from real cacao to a selection of couverture chocolates. It’s a fun, hands-on experience where you can truly savour the creativity and craftsmanship of chocolate-making.
This workshop is perfect for families, with children as young as four invited to join the fun. Just remember, all little chocolate enthusiasts must be accompanied by an adult. From 14th to 18th April, families can embark on the Farm’s Map & Mystery Egg Hunt, a thrilling quest that combines fun with a dash of mystery. Armed with a map and a trail of clues, kids (and adults alike) will explore the farm in search of hidden surprises. Every little adventurer will be rewarded with a small egg at the end of their hunt. It’s a perfect way to spend time together as a family, enjoying the fresh spring air while discovering the wonders of Standalone Farm.
This egg hunt is free with day entry to the farm, making it a fantastic bonus activity for anyone visiting during the Easter holidays. Whether you’re new to the farm or a regular visitor, the Mystery Egg Hunt adds an extra layer of excitement to your Easter day out.
Amey Zoo Easter Animal Encounters: Get Up Close with Fascinating Creatures
Monday 7th- Friday 11th April (Easter Holidays)
For animal lovers, Standalone Farm has something truly special planned. Running from Monday, 7th April to Friday, 11th April, the Easter Animal Encounters offer a one-of-a-kind experience for families. Presented by Mark Amey, an expert zoologist and animal keeper, this 40-minute show lets you get up close and personal with a range of exotic and domestic creatures. From furry friends to more unusual animals, you’ll be introduced to a fascinating world of wildlife.
What makes this show unique is the opportunity for hands-on learning. Not only will Mark share his wealth of knowledge about the animals’ behavior, habitats, and conservation, but visitors will also have the chance to interact with the creatures and snap unforgettable photos. It’s an educational, engaging experience for both children and adults, offering a deeper appreciation for the animals we share the planet with.
