Army Cadet Force (Royston 12 Platoon)

Looking for Action, Adventure, Friendship, and fun, then why not join the Army Cadets. Becoming an Army Cadet has heaps of benefits. The most obvious being that you get to take part in loads of exciting and challenging activities such as fieldcraft, adventure training, first aid, music, sports and shooting, to name but a few.

Friends of Therfield Heath

A voluntary group working alongside the Conservators of Therfield Heath and Greens to promote and encourage the use of, and access to, Therfield Heath, including organising events, raising awareness of the related bye laws and regulations and encouraging conservation protection, and improvement of the natural environment, and improved facilities for the users.

Gay Outdoor Club

A national activity club for men & women with local groups: Cambridge; Essex and Hertfordshire. Walks of moderate length take place once a month. Come along and make new friends and enjoy some healthy exercise.

Luna Animal Rescue does not have a centre where you can go to, as all of our animals are in foster homes with their foster carers.
This way they live in family environments which is less stressful on the pets and presents them in a more natural manner than dogs kept in kennels may be.

Royston Allotments & Gardens Association

Garden Members who don't have an allotment are welcome at £5 a year.

Club-house on site. Shop available for both Allotment and Garden members to purchase their gardening needs. We also have an Open Day annually for the public to view the site first hand.

Royston Ramblers

Promoting walking by organising led walks. Monitoring the condition of local rights of way.

You may come on three walks before deciding to join.

Tuesdays and Thursdays morning walks. Longer walks on Sundays.

Shorter evening walks on a different day each week starting last Monday in April and continuing to the end of August.

Squire Archery

Traditional range archery is the main theme of the camps, there are several other activities we offer during the week. These include mini tractor driving, a visit to a donkey sanctuary, air rifle shooting, badminton, tag archery, giant bubble making activities, an end of week BBQ, and metal detecting.

Stag Walkers

Stag Walkers is a friendly and sociable walking group aimed at people in their 20s-30s (and a bit beyond) which offers a variety of walks and social events in Herts/Beds/Cambs.

Therfield Heath is an area of Common Land and most of it is a Local Nature Reserve and a Site of Special Scientific Interest. It is owned by the Therfield Regulation Trust, which is a registered charity.
It is managed by the Conservators of Therfield Heath and Greens.

Each year 7,000 - 10,000 people visit Thriplow for our annual Daffodil Weekend.  Visitors step back in time, walking the beautiful traffic-free lanes and connecting footpaths, visiting residents 'Open Gardens', Craft Barns, Marquees, Stalls and Demonstrations, and experiencing the warm and friendly atmosphere.
