The Royston Wildlife Group, part of the Friends of Therfield Heath & Greens, continues its thrilling series of wildlife presentations on Tuesday 27th October when Peter Tiffin will present on ‘Use of Flagship Species to Drive Nature Recovery in Bassingbourn’.
Peter is a wildlife enthusiast who recently led an informative and entertaining Swift walk for FOTH&G. He has a strong interest in local Nature Recovery projects and will explain how Flagship species have been used to drive Nature Recovery from the Ground Up in Bassingbourn. Key themes are community engagement and “keeping common species common”. He has a passion to move from individual action to community action and engages with other local towns and villages to promote Nature Recovery. His talk will show how mutual support and knowledge sharing helps drive projects forward.
The presentation starts at 7.30pm in the Heritage Hall at the Town Hall for an unforgettable evening of wildlife discovery. Booking not required, just turn up. Entry for FOTH&G members and existing Royston Wildlife Group members is just £4 per session, while non-members can attend for £5. Alternatively, you can opt for a season ticket covering all five sessions at just £17 for members and £21 for non-members. Under 18s can attend for free!
A fundraising raffle will be held at each meeting, contributions to the raffle are always welcome. Note that all profits from the meetings are used to support nature, especially on Therfield Heath.
