Things to Do: Faces, Places & Things Exhibition

Five talented textile artists, exhibiting under the name PINZ, showcase their work in a fascinating exhibition celebrating more than 200 years of combined textile experience.

The group, formed in 2010 through the Eastern Region Textile Forum, includes Pat Brunsdon, Sue Blackburn, Jacqueline Glyde, Suzanne Jarvis and Alison White. Each artist brings a unique creative approach, from lace-making and embroidery to needle-felting, stitching and mixed textile techniques. Their work explores themes including landscapes, water, abstract forms and figurative art, with many pieces demonstrating remarkable texture, colour and craftsmanship.
The exhibition takes place at the Baldock Arts and Heritage Centre and runs until 11th July.

The artists have exhibited widely across the UK and internationally and have completed numerous commissions. Visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy a wide range of inspiring techniques and subject matter throughout the exhibition.

Meet the Makers days will take place on Saturday 13th June and Saturday 4th July, giving visitors the chance to chat with the artists and watch demonstrations of their skills.

A “Make Your Own Sheep and Beads String” workshop will also take place on Wednesday 24th June from 12.30-2.30pm. Tickets £20pp.
