In recent years Bury Lane has become the place to visit for cut your own flowers and pick your own strawberries and pumpkins, with our fabulously colourful tulips, peonies and dahlias proving particularly popular.
As we are always looking to improve and enhance our customer experience, over the past few months we have been making substantial changes to the infrastructure including the planting of various native trees in the pick your own areas, creating better paths from the car park to make the area more accessible and improving drainage. Elsewhere on the farm the team have been busy planting over 1,500 stone fruit trees including cherries, apricots, peaches, plums and more to create a blossom and PYO experience which will be ready to open in a couple of years time.
Access to the PYO areas this year will be via our house plant glasshouses where you will have the opportunity to view our unique facility and purchase home grown peat free house plants.
The season has already kicked off with Pick Your Own tulips which is open 7 days a week whilst the flowers are blooming. This will be closely followed by our amazing cut your own peonies, delphinium, sunflowers, sweet williams and dahlias, plus some surprise new flowers! Don’t forget to bring your scissors and your camera to capture those fantastic Insta moments.
