Town Band Return to Royston Church
The sound of a brass band playing in a church is magical, and Royston Town Band are really looking forward to being back at St John the Baptist for our Spring Concert on Friday 19th May at 7.30pm. 
The last year has had a real feeling of repairing and rebuilding after COVID – our usual Christmas programme was pretty much back on track and we cherry picked a few new initiatives like our personalised digital ‘Custom Carols’, our packed out Children’s Christmas concert and a workshop at Tannery Drift School introducing kids to the wonders of brass instruments. Support from the community in and around Royston was amazing as always, and we have been able to donate £750 of our Christmas collections to Royston Food Bank.
While the Parish Church has been painstakingly restored after its fire, the band has been growing and adapting too and we can’t wait to see you back there for the first time since September 2018, for an evening of celebration and music.
