Update on the Royston Parish Church
As mentioned last month we are approaching the completion of the phase two works with the only remaining work to be done after the end of March being the rebuilding of the main arch, which is scheduled to be completed by the end of May.
In the meantime we are now turning our attention towards the final phase of the restoration/refurbishment which will commence early in April and is scheduled to be completed by February 2022. This phase includes not only the final works on the restoration of the inside of the building but also those items that will update the church to create a modern, welcoming and friendly place.
Despite the great start to the fundraising, we still clearly have some way to go and will be looking to enhance this with various activities in the coming months which, hopefully, will be helped further by the relaxing of restrictions from the pandemic. On the worship front we continue to stream a recorded Eucharist service at 10.15am which is available on the Royston Parish Church Youtube channel. We are also approaching Easter which will see additional services at this important time in the church’s calendar.
