The Royston branch of Curwens Solicitors recently hosted a Gallery Open Evening, celebrating the GCSE art of King James Academy students. The event was part of the Royston Arts Festival and was attended by Royston’s Mayor, Councillor John Rees. Guests were also treated to musical performances by talented students from the school. The day dawned bright and sunny and the warm-hearted people of Royston and the surrounding villages dug generously into their pockets to help the Royston Rotary Club collect £874.12 at the town’s Tesco on 28th September. The donations will go to Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust, which is Rotary  President Derek Pinner’s chosen charity for this year.
