Can you help us?
We’re Christine Brown and Jane Wallington, two Royston ladies and we’re collecting on behalf of Smalls for All, a Scottish Charity which collects and distributes underwear to help women and children in Africa. They help those living in orphanages, slums, IDP camps and schools, as well as providing underwear to hospitals to help those suffering from medical conditions like obstetric fistula. Here in the UK, we tend to have easy access to underwear and take it for granted, but in many more remote or poorer parts of Africa, that’s far from the case. Underwear is a luxury that many people just can’t afford or it isn’t easily available. Giving pants and bras may seem like a small thing, but it can make a life-changing difference.
Join on Monday 29th April, 10am-12pm, for our ‘Pantastic Coffee Morning’ at the Jolly Postie, for coffee and some delicious cake- and help us to raise awareness and funds to send your donations to Africa. Why not bring your donation of pants (and bras) too?
You can donate underwear- new pants (for children aged 3-15 or ladies size 8-14), new bras and gently worn bras to Africa, at any time- by taking them to one of the following drop off points:
• Jolly Postie, 2 Baldock Street, Royston, SG8 5AY
• Cornichon Café, Corn Exchange, Royston, SG8 9JR
• Fairhaven, 102 Old North Road, Bassingbourn, SG8 5JR
