Two sisters from Royston, are asking for your fundraising help!
In 2021, Lucy and Caitlin Boughton have each signed themselves up to once in a lifetime opportunities. Lucy will be taking on volunteering work to help those facing poverty in Nepal; whilst Caitlin will be hiking Macchu Pichu to raise money for the Meningitis Research Foundation.
Lucy’s Volunteering in Nepal
In July 2021, Lucy will be taking part in a Raleigh Expedition, joining young people from around the world to undertake a 7 week volunteering programme in Nepal. During the programme she will work on sustainable projects such as providing access to safe water and sanitation, creating sustainable livelihoods and building resilient communities.

Caitlin’s Macchu Pichu Mountain Hike
In September 2021, Caitlin will be taking on an 81km hike through the Andes in Peru towards Machu Picchu, lasting 6 days and reaching an elevation of 2,430 ft. The climb is in aid of the Meningitis Research Foundation, a charity which aims to research and raise awareness of two serious diseases: Meningitis and Septicaemia.
