Royston Environmental Group: Be Sustainable this June – Great Big Green Week

6th – 14th June is Great Big Green Week – www.greatbiggreenweek.com

The organisers’ aim is: Together for good, we can make our neighbourhoods better places to live, protect the natural world we love and show politicians and decision makers that people across the UK want positive change. We think that every week is green week!

To start Royston’s Green Week with a bang, on 7th June Royston Environmental Group is hosting another fun and collaborative litter pick. Join us at 2pm at the playground on York Way (next to Royston Recycling Centre) to make a visible difference to our town and its wildlife, and help protect the planet from plastic pollution at the same time.

Also, do catch up with us and many of our friends at Royston Museum on 13th June at their amazing Green Festival. We will be holding a plant/seed/gardening swap (no sharps please) and planting sunflower seeds in toilet roll pots; but if that’s not your thing then there will be many more activities and information to check out from other local groups.

Later in June, on Wednesday 24th at 7.30pm, we will host the next in our series of informal Royston Environmental Drinks at The Old Bull Inn with guest speaker Kate Yiannacou from the North Herts Council waste team on all things recycling.

Go Green in Great Big Green Week!
