The Cave has now completed its public tours for 2024.
Preservation of the cave is always our top priority, which is why we need to limit the number of visitors we have during the year. We have had several visits from Historic England, who have been helping us assess how we can survey the cave and advise us on how to minimise any detrimental factors which could lead to carving degradation. We hope there will be more information on these discussions later in the year. However, we are still open for private tours, and tours for schools and youth groups, and we also provide an outreach service where we can bring the cave to you. Our 3D Cave Experience allows us to provide a virtual guided tour from the comfort of your venue, which is ideal for larger groups.
