News from Therfield Heath Conservation – Appeal for Tools

Several exciting habitat management projects are underway across Therfield Heath and Greens.
Volunteer help has been so important in delivering grassland restoration but has been limited by tool capacity.
Hand tools are a great way to sensitively remove invasive species and effectively remove encroaching scrub, to restore and protect rare chalk grassland and scheduled ancient monuments.
We are looking for the following tools to accelerate progress.
Do you have any of the following tools knocking around in your garden shed, that you could donate to Therfield Heath Conservation Projects?
• Mattocks
• Hoes
• Spades
• Rakes
• Loppers
• Pruning saws

If you are interested in donating your unwanted tools or your time to habitat management, please contact the Ranger at ranger@therfieldheath.org.uk.
