Mindful Living by Becky, Chanting Stork Yoga: Finding Inner Peace
Last month we looked at the definition of inner peace and this month we continue to look at some strategies on how we can bring more of it into our lives.
A Gratitude Practice
Finding your peace and taking care of your well-being means being grateful for what you have, and not complaining about what you lack in life. When you appreciate what you have, you’ll find more peace. It has been found that individuals with grateful hearts are the ones content with their life’s blessings and find peace and happiness within. Start a gratitude journal today: Simply write down 10 things that you are grateful for every day and make it part of your routine.
Self-Care
When you have a healthy relationship with yourself, you also project this positive energy toward others and improve relationships around you. Loving yourself means looking after your physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health. These include eating healthy, exercising regularly, and looking after your overall well-being.
Create Space
Creating space in our lives is about creating moments where we can slow down and be present and ultimately be more productive. We see ideas where there were once roadblocks, and we see possibilities where there were once dead ends. Decluttering is also another more ‘tangible’ way of creating space but it can help put order into your life for a more peaceful mind.
If you can use just some of these strategies to find more balance and gain perspective in your life you will be able to better ride the waves and move into a more peaceful you.
Finding inner peace means fewer worries and stress and helps you achieve your personal potential and be your best self!
Peaceful wishes, Becky – Chanting Stork Yoga
