Meldreth Bowls Club – April Open Days

Meldreth Bowls Club

Tucked away behind a hedge, almost opposite Holy Trinity Church at North End lies Meldreth Bowls Club.

The long winter months look to be ending, the clocks have moved forward and the grass is growing which must herald the start of a new bowls season. A lot of work has been put into preparing our green and surrounds in readiness for the green opening on Saturday 22nd April.  We will be coinciding this with an Open Day so that we can welcome seasoned bowlers, as well as those that might be new to the game, to a taster session. All you will need is a flat pair of shoes, we will provide the rest. Why not come along from 2.30pm and give it a try?

We are a friendly club that fields a team in each of three local leagues. In addition, we run very relaxed roll ups on Tuesday morning (10am-12noon) and Saturday afternoon (2-4 pm) so there are a variety of opportunities to play bowls. Our first Tuesday rollup will be on the 25th April, and Saturdays and Tuesdays thereafter. If you are not sure whether you would like the game then why not just turn up to one of our home matches and watch.

Details of all fixtures are pinned to the notice board at the entrance gate and are also available on or website www.meldrethbowlsclub.co.uk

We hope that we might see some of you at our club over the summer months where you will be assured of a very warm welcome.
