Skin issues are a common health problem experienced by pets, especially during the warmer months. These problems can be a result of seasonal allergies (to pollen or plants, for example), stress, parasites or infections. Any skin issue can cause significant discomfort for your pet, especially if they are left untreated. The most common symptoms displayed for skin issues are itching, bald patches and flaky skin. Skin issues can range from mild to severe, and most will require some form of treatment. If a skin problem is left untreated the issue can worsen and become significantly more serious, therefore it is best to get it checked out sooner.
