Royston Vets: Be Ready for Winter!
Winter time can be a fun time for all, however it is important to know the hazards that can come along. Like us, our pets will feel the cold so it is important to try to keep them warm throughout the colder months. Keeping pets indoors throughout these months will help as they are not used to the extreme weathers we may experience. Applying coats or boots to dogs during their walks can help them enjoy the colder weather. Bringing hutches inside to keep them warm and dry will help smaller pets stay warm.
The winter months mean we have fewer light hours during the day so it is important to keep your pets safe in the dark. Reflective collars or lights can be applied to dogs and cats when they are outside so they are visible to people in cars.
