The past couple of months have been a busy and enjoyable time for Wise Local Crafters, with plenty of creativity, friendship and community spirit.
The group welcomes anyone who would like to drop in for hot refreshments, meet new people and enjoy working on their own craft projects in a friendly and relaxed setting. For those keen to learn something new, there are also plenty of experienced crafters happy to share their skills and knowledge.
Members were recently delighted to support Arthur Rank Hospice Charity’s Pumpkin Appeal, with many of the group’s talented crafters creating handmade pumpkins to help raise funds through Arthur Rank shops. Lisa Thompson from Arthur Rank visited the group to collect the pumpkins in person and thank members for their support.
Wise Local Crafters have also been supporting Home-Start by making baby packages containing handmade blankets, hats and cardigans, which were very gratefully received.
The group meets every Thursday from 10.30am onwards at Eternit Sports & Social Club, Whaddon Road, Meldreth SG8 5RL.
