Join our Team! Your Conservators need you!
For many years the Conservators of Therfield Heath and Greens (the Conservators) have updated the local readership of the Listing magazine about what is happening on the Heath. This month is different; we are updating you about us.
We currently have spaces for new Conservators mid-year. This offers an ideal chance for you to join us and see what Conservators do from the inside! We will still be running elections in February, but we are missing some people-power now.
But what do Conservators do you may ask? Well fear not; you don’t need any special qualifications or to own a shovel or tractor! Although Conservators ‘manage’ the Heath, today that is done by meeting monthly (7-9pm on the 4th Thursday of the month) to instruct staff on what they need to do or to help staff complete a task if you can.
Each Conservator has their own personal background and life experience and we believe that everyone in the area could bring something relevant to our meetings. What draws us together is; (a) an ability to contribute views (b) a willingness to talk with fellow Conservators; and (c) an enthusiasm to find solutions that will ensure that the Heath is here for you and your family for generations to come.
