The first images created of the cave carvings were made by William Stukeley who first visited the cave in the autumn of 1742.
Those drawings, while not very accurate, were certainly stylistic and show how he interpreted the scene before him. This June, it can now be your turn to create your own artistic version of the cave. We have teamed up with The Creative Canvas who will facilitate a workshop for artists of all abilities.
There will be two guided drawings, one on black paper, and one on white, designed to highlight contrast and shadows. All materials will be provided, and you can take your masterpieces home with you! An intimate group size of 9 means booking early is recommended to secure a place.
Tickets cost £18 per person, and there are two separate sessions at 1pm and 2.45pm on Friday 26th June and will last for one hour.
