Did you know there was a small quilters guild/group holding monthly events in Royston?
Our members have a range of experience in patchwork and quilting and associated techniques and everyone is willing to share their hints and tips.
We meet monthly on the first Tuesday of the month, 7.30 to 9.30pm in The Market Hill Rooms where we have visiting speakers, mini-workshops or we simply work on our own projects.
We also hold sit and sew mornings in the Town Hall on the 3rd Thursday of the month from 10am-12noon.
If that’s not enough we also arrange a few Saturday workshops throughout the year with expert tutors and host popular Saturday sewing days in Shepreth village hall where we make progress on our current projects whilst catching up with friends.
Every two years we also hold an exhibition as part of the Royston Arts Festival where members can show off their makes and visitors can vote for their favourite.
So if you fancy getting more from your sewing machine or have an interest in hand sewing, or you have been quilting for decades please get in touch, we would love to introduce you to our friendly members.
For more info, please email Deb on priory.quilters@yahoo.co.uk or pop into the Welcome to Royston event at the Town Hall on 1st March between 11am – 2pm where we will look forward to meeting you. Also follow on FB @PrioryQuiltersRoyston
