Citizens Advice: Monthly Update: Volunteering: How You Can Get Involved

Volunteering: How You Can Get Involved and the Many Benefits it Can Bring You!

Citizens Advice North Hertfordshire (CANH), a local charity offering free, confidential advice, is looking for new Volunteer Advisers.
How You Can Help

Our volunteers come from all backgrounds, bringing unique skills and experiences. They may be students gaining work experience, people rebuilding confidence after unemployment or retirees wanting to give back. What unites them is a desire to help others.

How Volunteering Benefits You
Volunteering is not just about helping your community—it benefits you too. As a student, you gain valuable experience, learn new skills, and enhance your CV. It’s also a chance to meet new people, feel part of a community, and boost your confidence and wellbeing.
CANH provides full training and support to volunteers.
Rosie Waters, chief executive, said:  “Volunteers make a real difference to people in need. With household budgets stretched, our advisers are supporting many with bills, debt, housing, and consumer issues. People find volunteering with us rewarding. We provide all the training needed and would love to hear from anyone interested.”
