Foxton invites you to their annual Scarecrow Festival, taking place on Saturday 4th October (12 noon – 6pm).
Visitors are encouraged to come along and enjoy a day full of scarecrow fun!
The theme for 2025 is “In Perfect Harmony”, and the creative residents of Foxton will be showcasing scarecrows inspired by songs, singers, music, lyrics, and everything in between.
As in previous years, you’ll be able to wander through Foxton village from one scarecrow to another.
Along the way, there will be fundraising activities to join in with, including a children’s quiz and the ever-popular “Where’s Wally?”, with a special scarecrow hidden somewhere in the village.
Refreshments such as bacon butties, homemade soup, and tea and cakes will be available at various village venues.
New for 2025, and in keeping with the theme, live musical entertainment will add to the atmosphere, including performances from Fowlmere band Unit 4A, local singer-songwriters, a folk trio, and Royston Town Band.
The festival will conclude in the church with prize-giving, a performance from the Foxton Singers, the raffle draw, and the chance to vote for your favourite scarecrow.
Funds raised will support St Laurence Church, Foxton School, and Pre-School. Programmes (£5) will be available on the day from the Village Hall and the Village Shop.
