Escape to the City this Autumn…

Escape to the City this Autumn

Take a visit to Seven Dials this November, a slow-paced area of central London providing an escape from the busy streets of the city.

The area has recently collaborated with floral design experts, Urban Growth London and the Young Camden Foundation to put on a striking eco-floral art installation.

Seven radiant installations have been dropped around the district, as an ode to “What we missed during lockdown”. Each piece has been made from reused and repurposed everyday objects – think old suitcases, dressers, pianos and more – all filled with spectacular floral blooms.

There’s a kaleidoscope of flowers spilling out of a vintage sofa, a tribute to the fact that we can finally catch up with friends and reunite with loved ones. Look out for the second-hand dresser lined with blossoms symbolising a long-awaited call to get dressed up for nights out again – a personal favourite of mine.

Wander around this pretty pocket of London and see if you can spot them all!
And if you’re a foodie like me, you can indulge in a delicious meal from one of 50 contemporary cafes, restaurants, bars and pubs dotted around the area. Or you can head to the Seven Dials market, a cosy food hall with 11 independent micro-restaurants.

My favourite is Yum Bun, which serves tasty bao buns and gyoza.

Look out for my articles each month!
