For those who don’t know what TWAM is; the initials stand for Tools With A Mission.
This is a Christian organisation that collects unwanted/redundant tools and equipment, and after renovating/reparing/refurbishing, they are packed into trade kits ready to send to TWAM’s partners in DR Congo, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
TWAM supplies kits for most trades as well as sewing machines, knitting machines, and computers.
On average, two containers a month are sent overseas, each one packed with tools destined for up to 40 applicants. They are loaded by volunteers in the Ipswich Centre ready for their long journey to the receiving partner.
The journey ends as lives are transformed by the generous gift of the donated tools.
