Wildlife Trust January Sale!

At a time when global environmental problems can seem insurmountable, for anyone making a New Year’s resolutions to try and make a difference, the Wildlife Trust are offering half-price membership throughout January.

Each member receives Local Wildlife magazine (the children’s version is Wildlife Watch) three times a year, information on events, local groups, walks, talks via newsletters – but the biggest benefit of all is knowing that local wildlife in the area, and all the conservation work involved, will be helped and maintained. Fascinating Fungi Wildlife Trust Talk
An introduction to mycology with Peter Walker of Hunts Flora & Fauna Society: illustrated talk on these diverse organisms which often only appear transiently and spend most of their life hidden away.

Wildlife Trust Mindful Wintry Wander, Trumpington Meadows
Mindful walking and nature connection have the power to revive on cold dark days, with much evidence of the benefits of getting outdoors for physical and mental health. Join Claire Thompson, author of Mindfulness of the Natural World and Becky Green, Wildlife Trust Senior Ranger at Trumpington Meadows, for guided mindful walks at the reserve this month. Walks will include guided mindfulness practices and periods of silent walking bringing opportunities to engage senses and connect with ourselves and winter wildlife wonders on the reserve. Tea and biscuits will be available to warm up at the end!
