Thousands Flock to Ashwell Show…

More than 7,000 enjoyed a great day out at the 100th traditional August Bank Holiday Show.

A breathtaking, high adrenalin BMX stunt show,  an amazing falconry display complete with mischievous Owl, Bluebell, and the ever popular horse show made it a day to remember. The crowds were in a happy mood as if to deflect the anxieties of the world and were out to soak up the carnival like atmosphere. They entered into the spirit of just about everything that was provided for them including the 1st  Ashwell Scouts Assault Course, tractor rides and ‘Safari Stu’, who offered an insight into the world of his exotic and loveable animals. Every class of the dog show was filled with doting owners queuing up to participate in promoting their pets as having the fluffiest coat or the waggiest tail. Children also learnt circus skills, took part in free craft activities, and engaged in a tug of war with a tractor.

After a two year hiatus the popular traditional country show had returned and was eager to feed the appetite of the public with not only exciting entertainment but also a selection of mouth watering food from the many street vendors on the site.
