Therfield Heath Conservation

First we have had a new sign installed at the entrance point of the main car park. We are hoping to install new information signs and potentially other walking signs in the future and this is the start of the project, we hope you like it!

We can also introduce our new full time Ranger, Catherine Wright, also known as Cat. Cat went through the interview process with flying colours and we felt she will be the right fit for the Heath. She will be on site 5 days a week, including some weekends so please feel free to stop and have a chat with her when you see her, and tell her about what the Heath means to you.

Cat completed her degree in Glasgow but has spent time with the National Trust in Exmoor learning conservation at a practical level as an assistant ranger, so you might see her with tools or a brush cutter carrying out the vital work we need to carry out to look after the SSSI aspect of the site. She will also be rallying the troupes by leading our Volunteer groups through the Friends of the Heath organisation, if you wish to be a part of this please check out their facebook page

The Listing magazine allows us to connect with everyone in the area on a monthly basis. We encourage those readers to also use our website and Facebook as a great way to access instant messages. Please search “Therfield Heath & Greens” and this will take you to our web site and also our Facebook page. Please join us and keep up to date on what is happening and help us celebrate this unique site which is still free to access all year round.

Sorry for any inconvenience caused with our habitat maintenance and if you have any further enquires please email conservation@therfieldheath.org.uk
