Talk and Book Launch
The Centenary of the Royston War Memorial, 1922 to 2022
Royston and District Local History Society invites you to attend a talk on the Royston War Memorial to commemorate the centenary of its dedication in 1922.
It will be followed by the launch of the What Royston Did Project’s book, which reveals the interesting and often poignant life stories of the men listed on the memorial from both World Wars together with their photographs. Those who were nominated but not listed are also included in this publication.
Supported and published by the Royston and District Local History Society, this book was researched and written by Yolanda Hayes and Pamela Wright and is a limited edition.
It will be available to purchase at the launch, price £12.50, (payment welcome by card, cash or cheque), and thereafter from Royston and District Local History Society, the Cave Shop, and Royston Museum.
Thursday, 3rd November 2022 at Royston Town Hall.
Talk at 8pm (doors open at 7.30pm).
Everyone is welcome. Entrance is free for Society members and £2 for non-members.
