Spotlight On… Basstonbury 2021
Basstonbury, the three day village festival put on by Bassingbourn Charities over the August bank holiday weekend, is set to make a return this year.
Who are Bassingbourn Charities?
We are a Bassingbourn based charity that puts on entertainment events for the local community, with all profits going back into the Charity fund and then being donated to good causes. Bassingbourn Charities have been putting on events for over 10 years for the community. The main aim of the Charity is to raise money and awareness for good causes by having a good time and by bringing the local community together to achieve it. In 2020, we had a socially distanced picnic with live music to raise money for Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust and to support local businesses in the performing arts industry. This year, after 18 months of restrictions, we want to put on a celebration for the whole community while supporting local businesses who have struggled during the pandemic.
