The club is active in the Herts League for both the mid week league in the Summer and Cross Country in the Winter but it welcomes runners of all levels and abilities. There are currently over 200 members and the club is keen to welcome more.

Membership covers all abilities from the elite runner to the gentle jogger, those with competitive ambitions to those with a more social nature. If you join you will never have to run alone unless you wish to.

The club meets three times a week, in all weathers. During the summer months our training sessions take place along quiet country lanes and off-road trails and footpaths. In the winter, the evening sessions centre on the well-lit streets of Royston returning to the surrounding countryside at weekends.

The main club run takes place on a Tuesday at 6.30pm and members run in groups based on approximate minutes per mile pace.

Group 1 meet at 7.30pm on a Tuesday for the faster runners in the club.

Each group is led by an experienced runner from the club. They will look after the group and agree the route with them on the night.

Royston Crows is the junior branch of Royston Runners and caters for children between the ages of 9 and 16. It is coached by Dave Evans ably assisted by two other stalwarts of the club Alan Watson and Geoff Russell.

The Crows can accommodate up to 32 children and currently has a waiting list.

The club meets between 6 and 7pm on Monday evenings during school terms occasionally running through half terms.

During the summer it uses the Heath for training but in the winter it meets outside the Royston Leisure Centre and uses safe local roads and pathways.
