Royston Parish Church
One of the popular features in Royston at Christmas time is the large, heavily decorated, Christmas Tree in the parish church.
The lower branches are always left empty so that members of the congregation and visitors can place baubles on the tree in memory of loved ones who are not with them at Christmas.
Last year the tree reappeared after an absence of 4 years and over 800 messages were placed on it!
This year we hope to continue with the tradition, and we are currently planning a “Light-Up” on Saturday December 2nd at 10.30am.
This will be the first opportunity for folk to hang a bauble and we plan to make a day of it serving coffee, mince pies and mulled wine from 10am-4pm
