Royston Museum Highlights with Emma – What’s On Throughout June

The start of June marks the countdown to two of our biggest events of this year! Our Green Festival on Saturday 14th June & Anglo-Saxon Day on Sunday 6th July.

For our Green Festival we’ve teamed up with Royston Environmental Group and are welcoming a host of local groups and organisations to explore how we can tackle climate change, protect nature and make little swaps for good in our own lives. We’ll be open from 10am to 4pm on Saturday 14th June and entry is free.

We’re also running two FREE Draught Busting workshops. During these hands-on workshops, you will gain practical knowledge to help you draught-proof your home in order to improve comfort and to reduce energy use. The workshops are FREE to attend thanks to funding from Museum Development South East and Art Council England, but booking is essential.

Plus, we have all our usual monthly fun, including Museum Babies and Tots on Wednesday 4th June, Spark! Art Club on Thursday 12th June, and our next talk, The Environment and History of Therfield Heath, on Wednesday 18th June. Every ticket sold to our June talk will benefit both the Museum and the Friends of Therfield Heath.

Then at the start of July, step back in time at our Anglo-Saxon Day! Get hands-on with history as you explore how people lived over a thousand years ago. We’ll be open from 10am to 4pm on Sunday 6th July and entry is free.
